bim bom sound

is a fixed rate audio production space by Michael Macdonald

prior to building out this space, I ran a studio in a back of the yards warehouse called pallet sound

a handful of artists I’ve collaborated with: mia Joy, devin shaffer, tasha, the curls, varsity, claude, bridey, hot mom’s club

this studio is named after the polish punk bar that existed here for about 30 years, bim bom lounge, which was named after an avant-garde theatre group (named simply, “bim bom”) that existed in poland in the 1950’s.. that theatre group took their name from the winnie-the-pooh song phrase, “tiddley pom,” which translates from english to polish as “bim bom, “ the literal definition of tiddely pom is “meaningless words used to hum a tune or indicate a rhythm” so it basically just boils down to that
